Sparring Pheasants
All our local Pheasants have been sparring up to each other for a few months now.
Some times its just facing each other and lots of head bobbing, other times it a pitch battle with feathers flying and blood drawn.
These guys were really going at it hammer and tongs.

Some great shots there, on your third one I can't tell where one bird ends and the other starts!

I saw 2 at it yesterday at Fingrinhoe, though they were less evenly matched as one bird scarpered pretty quickly.
