First egg has hatched!!
the first of the 9 eggs has hatched - a tiny new great tit

congrats, I think our great tits have hatched too as mum and dad have been taking in grubs today

Last year we had 4 but not checked this year.

The second hatched just before 5pm.

I'll have to check again in the morning.

Looking at how small and weak they look at the moment it's hard to believe they could be ready to go in just a few weeks or so. Nature is truly amazing and it's such a privilege to be able to watch it happening.
