Near miss

There was I harmlessly watching the birds when a loud flapping and splashing took place and 13 Mute Swans came hurtling towards me! Fortunately they cleared the reservoir bank (and me!) just in time.

Did you yell 'Duck' or in this case 'swan'

To echo Loripo's theme, nearly a case of 'duck' or 'grouse', the Swifts are bad enough but a 30lb swan...

On the subject of near misses I took this one a couple of months ago in Victoria Park beside Belfast City

Airport.

It was almost a final approach for Mr Heron!
