| | | New Member - Peregrine Action Hey All.
Long-time reader, first-time poster. So forgive me for any stoopid mistakes!!
I just wanted to share some pretty cool (in my opinion anyway) photos I took of a Peregrine in Worcester.
Up until last summer, I had never seen a Peregrine in the wild before. I went to Worcester to see the pair that regularly nest there, and was utterly amazed by the sight of them. The RSPB stand that is there is really helpful too. The scopes that were set up there allowed you to get some great views of the birds.
Anyway, I had just got back in my car to set off home, feeling very pleased with what I had seen, when all of a sudden there was a huge commotion. This juvenile Peregrine was being mobbed by a number of gulls and had landed on a car just a few feet away from me. It sat there for about 20 minutes, keeping an eye on the circling gulls, and posing for photos. Eventually, it returned to the relative safety of the spire. Thankfully.
It was an unbelievable experience, one that I will never forget. So I thought I'd share it with you.
Great site by the way!!!
Cheers. |
