Help ID-ing these ducks please!
Does anyone know what species of duck these are? They live on the canal near my house and are much larger than the other mallards. (You can see a normal sized female mallard in the background of teh second picture)

Hi kristina 7 and welcome to WAB

The ducks in your photos are Mallard cross breeds. Someone here might be able to tell you what species they are crossed with.

They're not 'crossed' with another species. They're full Mallards, but a domesticated kind of Mallard.

You're right RKB - poor wording on my part. I shouldn't have said "species" perhaps other "types" and apologies to kristina 7.

Have a look at

“Manky Mallards” (domestic, feral, or just plain odd Mallards)
