Wood Pigeons, although numerous and commonplace are wild birds Jumed. I don't honestly think you'll find a breeder.
In London, there are many feral pigeons so be careful not to mix them up with wood pigeons. If you like pigeons then perhaps you would like racing pigeons and you would need to speak to a pigeon fancier about that.
Are there no such societies in your own homeland?
Sorry that I can't be helpful.

| | | Re: Wood Pigeon Thanks for your information . I found a couple of breeders in the States but they dont send them outside because they say it takes alot of paper work and time. i will try to find someone who breeds them and have the papers and send them. |

| | | Re: Wood Pigeon The Wood Pigeon (Columba palumbus) is a common bird, and ranges right across Europe, Parts of North Africa and the North Middle-east. So if your homeland is in Europe, you should have some there already. They are usually considered a pest bird, so they may have restrictions placed on captive bird movements, especially with the bird flue issue. Not sure if I have ever seen captive ones though, except in wildlife sactuaries.

| | | Re: Wood Pigeon Personally I'd prefer to see them in the wild than cooped up in a cage or aviary! They may be a pest to crop farmers but what a wonderful sound they make- real aural sunshine. |

| | | Re: Wood Pigeon aperently the pigeons commonly found in Central london are Rock Dove's (Columba livia)
don't know how true it is though, they all look like ferrals to me.
