| | | Mixed Mallard? Saw this little duck at a pond in Oxford, was wondering if its just a mixed mallard or if its anything fancier?
There was only the one, I would guess its female? |

There is a pure white duck that flies with the mallard here in this area, she's often seen either flying or feeding with the mallard ducks and drakes. I don't know the answer, probably could be one of several explainations. The duck experts will be in to give us the choice of answers I hope. |

I would think it's the Farmyard/domestic type. Quite pretty - and yes, a female

| | | Re: Mixed Mallard? i snapped a similarly coloured bird at colwick park in notts earlier this month, just a regular female mallard, but the pale colour is quite pleasing!
