| | | Another I.D. Please Out on my walk today , one of the many birds I saw was the one in the following picture. Sorry the quality isn't great.
Roughly in the middle of the picture is a branch lying horizontally across the photo. Below the branch there is gorse to the right. The bird is sitting below the branch and to the left of the gorse. The branch has some smaller branches/twigs going down towards the ground and the bird is at the 3rd vertical branch from the gorse.
My sister and I first thought it was a Dunnock, but on looking more closely at the picture on my computer it doesn't look like a Dunnock at all. |

| | | Re: Another I.D. Please Ok. I didn't follow the Op's instructions. I missed the bird that she was referring to. I was looking further along the branch to the left.
Sorry I can't help. |

| | | Re: Another I.D. Please It is very well concealed bird. I can`t really make it out. Is it showing its breast with its head covered by a leaf? If so that would be a Meadow Pipit breast pattern. Sorry that`s the best that I can do.

We didn't want to go too close incase it flew off. It was sitting there preening itself. We did hear Chiffchaffs in the area but couldn't see them. |

| | | Re: Another I.D. Please Yeah, Got it now. I expected it to be bigger. Still cant see the legs enough to distinguish it from a Willow Warbler though.
If you heard Chiffchaff but no Willow Warbler, it`s a Chiffchaff | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
