Hawking swallows

We came across a small flock of swallows yesterday afternoon. They were hunting over a small bend in the River Great Ouse, and provided us with great sport. These are the best snaps taken on an overcast day:

For overcast conditions Colin these are excellent shots. Swallows are very difficult to catch in flight. If the light had been better I think you would have finished up with some cracking images.

I'm itching to try the 7D out on something as small as these. Haven't see any Swallows around here as yet though.
