| | | Magpie behaviour Accross from me we have a conifer bush, and a Magpie keeps stuffing bread amongst other things into it, would it be nesting in there or has it got a larder in there or is there some other reason for this odd behaviour

But they are quite clever birds - keep an eye on them and see what happens.............

| | | Re: Magpie behaviour Would have said for storage as the Magpies here do the same but usually bury bits of bread etc in the soil or under a stone and return at a later date.
The clever magpies watch their friends hiding the food then when they have gone go and help themselves.
May be a nest in there , but its usuall evident.
