| | | Re: Little Egrets You beat me to it Pam, near my home is an ancient pond, this time of year the Egrets and other fish eathing birds decend on it as its a breeding area for Trout and Pike plus the usual frogs and toads so they are kept well fed, i intended to get some shots to put up here but not had the chance yet. Oh well!¬!
Maybe next year.

| | | Re: Little Egrets I had some lovely views of a Little Egret on the Plym Estuary in Plymouth this afternoon. It was nice and sunny, but also breezy, making his crest blow out behind him as he walked about.
I've seen this Egret there two years running now.
And apologies in advance for the mega bad photos, not even remotely in the same league as the others on this website, they're just to give you a rough idea of how the bird looked with the crest trailing behind in the breeze. Sadly my camera is over a decade old and has no zoom and only 3 megapixels to it's name. And the bird stayed just far enough away to be tricky to take pictures of, but I still think they are lovely birds...   |
