| | | Firecrest 5 minutes from the sea at Littlehampton Yesterday I spotted a forecrest in a norwegian spruce behind my back garden - I was amazed to see this little cutey in "my" tree - anyone seen more recently? Are they still being tracked for data of migratory birds? |

| | | Re: Firecrest 5 minutes from the sea at Littlehampton We tend to get a good influx at this time of year. Ive had a few spread out over winter and am expecting some soon they usually turn up on passage here in late March (now) to early April. |

| | | Re: Firecrest 5 minutes from the sea at Littlehampton its certainly worth notifying the county recorder/BTO, a record of their abundance and distribution is important, seeing as there's so few of them!

| | | Re: Firecrest 5 minutes from the sea at Littlehampton The numbers do seem to be increasing. Certainly in London there seem to have been quite a few the last 2 winters + it can't be long before we have breeding birds.
A stunning little gem that's for sure! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
