Any Sand Martins?

Two credible reports here in SW Scotland at the weekend, any sightings yet folks?

Loads of sigthings across north norfolk as well as alpine swift and the odd swallow.

No Sand Martins yet, but hubby and I saw 2 Swallows in 2 different places locally on Sunday. We were pretty surprised to see them, I've not seen them this early before.

A lone Sand martin flew across one of the lakes at the Wetlands today, it was spotted by several bird watchers from the British steel hide.

Quite a few around London for over a week now, especially London Wetland Centre where a max. of 12 have been seen.

Saw my first one in north London on March 9th. There are quite a few around the reservoirs here now (40 reported yesterday by someone I know).

I still haven't seen a Swallow, but there have been a few around locally.

Saw two this morning along the river Trent on my local patch in Notts and a few more were reported from the same site at the weekend, also saw a single Male Wheatear. It always amazes me that there is enough food around for them when they arrive back in March and a few years back saw a few chasing snowflakes in a late snow flurry!

It is good to know spring is finally on its way at last

There were half a dozen on Sunday at Carsington Reservoir, Derbyshire. Caused much excitement at the Wildlife Centre, we officially declared Spring was here!
