| | | Kingfisher...1 dive 2 fish!!! Revisited the Kingy today after a couple of months away hoping to photograph the male passing a fish to the female. As expected I never seen it, but what I did get might be more unusual to photograph. In one dive it caught two fish. I have never heard or seen a photograph of this before and was wondering if any of the forum users have witnessed it or heard of it? Also nabbed a pic of it with a minnow of record proportions. I've seen/read several reports of this happening in the past, though it seems that on most reported occasions it's happened where the Kingfisher has been baited by the placing of a relatively large number of small fish in a container and its occurrence in truly natural circumstances may therefore be quite unusual

Two fish is not uncommon, I have seen a bird with 3 fish, I have attached a link to one of my shots showing a Kingfisher with 2 fish. Photo Critique Forums

| | | Re: Kingfisher...1 dive 2 fish!!! That's a cracking shot Tony - and , if you don't mind me asking, were your 2/3 fish-catch sightings natural catches or the result of baiting?
