Keep us informed if their breeding is successful!

| | | Re: peregrines mating. One of our local pairs (the easiest to observe) were together on their scrape on sunday. I didnt see any actual mating but its likely to be occuring. Always great to see. |

| | | Re: peregrines mating. just an update on the peregrines, the female is on the nest and just waiting for the little ones now, the male was on view happily plucking a pigeon for lunch, and it seems the town is very intrested in the pair as a lady from the manchester bird society put it on the internet, it was also on the news which i didnt see, regards rossy |

| | | Re: peregrines mating. good news the peregrines have now got young, watched today as one of the parents was giving food, as to how many it was unclear, but as they grow should be able give an exact number, rossy. |

I have had the pleasure of watching my local pair of Kestrels go through the same process. I believe 4 chicks and judging by the never ending forays around the local fishery they have very healthy appetites.
Look forward to further updates. |

We have two locals (well more actually but the others are kept quiet!) which can be seen via live webcam. Also with two chicks, both male. They've both been ringed now and developing darker feathers through the white fluffy down. Agree, lovely to watch! | | | Re: peregrines mating. had a look today and one chick has ventured out of the nest , the other was flapping on the nest, looks like they are getting ready to fledge , their plumage has changed and are beginning to look like their parents , so this week we should have 4 peregrines over the town , just hope all goes well as they take that 1st flight. rossy. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
