Can you identify please. It was swimming with the mallards on Eyeworth pond yesterday - possibly a hybrid/cross ?

To use the vernacular - it's a Manky Mallard. A hybrid of some description. The mallard component can be easily told by the curly tail feathers.

I call them "cookin' ducks". above the bridge at Llangollen there's always a few knocking about - a good assortment of "pick 'n mix" mallard x aylesbury.
