I love chiff chaffs - my first spotting as a new birder was at RSPB Pulborough Brooks, I could take you to the spot I saw it and bore everyone by mentioning the said spotting - every time we walk past a certain tree! Hope to see one soon!
PS: Pulborough Brooks is worth a visit - a pleasant walk even when nothing eventful fills the bins! Two vagrant cranes filled the bins a couple of years ago at Pulborough - what a treat! |

A chiffchaff has just been in my garden. It was only 6 ft away from me. I had my mobile phone but it was turned off. By the time I had set it to take a picture it had moved on. What an opportunity for a perfect picture! |

I believe I spotted 2 chiffchaffs in the garden yesterday.
One was flittering around the top of a tree looking for insects i presume, the other was in the same tree calling. Its call sounded like it was actually saying chiffchaff 3 times in succession. |

Had quite an influx of migrant birds today all in coastal locations. Has anyone else noticed this? |
