Spot the Jack Snipe!

Not too difficult when they're bobbing but when they're still... arrgh!

Fortunately I had good views of two feeding in the gloaming tonight.

Even at full size, I can't spot anything!....apart from a dark patch that looks like a rock!

If you imagine 0-10 along the bottom (x axis)with 5 in line with the words Jack Snipe and then 0-10 up the side (y axis) (which is tighter scale as the pic is not square) its at roughly x 2 (bottom) and y 4 (up the side)

I've definately lost it. Even with Dan's excellent grid reference & my nose right up to the screen I still can't see it, just looks like lots of clumps of grasses.

I think I'd probably starve to death if I was a predator

Go to the middle of the photo and its about an inch to the left. The yellow stripe on its back is the easiest thing to see.

wow just got it after 6 or 7 attempts. amazing camoflauge. i think if i was a predator i'd just go for a lapwing. bit easier to spot.

My excellent grid ref?...ha ha i was way off im afraid!...

i didnt realise i could blow the pic up extra large and was homing in on something else at x2 y4 lol....found it now though
