| | | Re: Red Kite Sighting in Leeds There was a planned release of breeding pairs at Harewood house years ago wasn't there? So I presume the one you saw may have fledged from one of those pairs?

| | | Re: Red Kite Sighting in Leeds There's been a release of dozens of juveniles at Harewood over several years, which are now breeding quite widely as they've matured. |

| | | Re: Red Kite Sighting in Leeds Just watched that vid RKB (computer said 'No' yesterday) - what a fantastic sight. I didn't know what colourful birds they were close up. I do hope they come round here eventually. I was just thinking they were making it look quite hard work, trying to grab the bread, then clear that little fence as they fly off, when the crow comes along and casually shows them how to do it! Made me laugh! |

| | | Re: Red Kite Sighting in Leeds We had the pleasure of watching this Red Kite at Roundhay Park over the lake today. It will easily be identifiable again, as it has slight damage to it's right wing feathers.
Made our day it did. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
