| | | Re: please help identify bird of prey regardless of which type of buzzard it may be, i am certain it is a nesting ground as the more I read about the ideal enviroment for them the more I can see how suiting the surrounding really are for them. Except for one thing.....and this is (to me) odd!!!....its inside the perimeter line of a international airport!!!!! but right on the edge... in a deep bunker with a small woodland...next to the main security fence which they all like to sit on cos its high and on the other side I can see miles of open fields let alone wot they can see!!! ...ive spotted approx 4-5 spread along this fence at a time with another 3-4 coming in/out of the nest....really big 'uns they r....none of my other work colleagues seam to share my enthusiam or the irony of being in an airport...the noise doesnt seem to bother 'em maybe the sites just too damn good for them!!, hope I dont catch 1 in one of my jet engines....perhaps i will take off with just 1 engine so as to cut down on the odds of a bird strike!! | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
