| | | Egyptian Goose in Dartmouth, Devon This is a first for me, seen on Warfleet Creek, Dartmouth, Devon on 14th March 2010. There is a small resident population in the South East which are feral. Has anyone else seen these birds in the South West? |

| | | Re: Egyptian Goose in Dartmouth, Devon They are certainly on the increase. When I regularly visited your part of the world I never saw them there. But at the same time I rarely noted any in London; I would find them in Norfolk + Rutland Water.
In the last decade they have shown a great increase in the London area + can be found on many lakes in the area. |

| | | Re: Egyptian Goose in Dartmouth, Devon I saw a pair last year in Tuckenhay on the river there: Neil - Tuckenhay, Devon wildlife (and some from Brixham)
I think they are a lot more widespread than some sources say. |

| | | Re: Egyptian Goose in Dartmouth, Devon Definitley on the increase in the Broads area of Norfolk. Any drive around should pick up pairs in a field without too much trouble.
They always seem to be grumpy and argumentative though and not the easiest of geese to approach

| | | Re: Egyptian Goose in Dartmouth, Devon We have three in out local park lake at the moment. Two males and one female I think. As one is being chased off although it's trying to follow the pair around. They were all making low duck-like quacking sounds and doing a forward head rotating movement. Is this mating behaviour? ( I got this on video). |

| | | Re: Egyptian Goose in Dartmouth, Devon WWT Slimbridge has a record of one in January this year, and I think of a leucistic one too - so they are about the South West. |
