Found a collared dove under the bushes this morning,i have lots that come to feed everyday.
I found it in the same place that i usually find other bird remains ie a a pile of un scattered feathers and sometimes a beak and skull with meat removed.
The thing with this dove tho,it had no signs of attack,it was laid in its right breast area, both wings tucked up,its head turned to one side and eyes half open,it was'nt warm,it had become cold and stiff.
I'm just wondering if it died trying to escape a hawk attack and banged its head on a branch and knocked itself out or broke its neck.
