| | | unidentified Bird Hi all,
I saw this bird in my parents garden in Germany. They have about 30 Goldfinches visiting and some Greenfinches and Great tits, Blue tits, a Treecreeper, Blackbirds and Colared doves. But this bird we could not indentify.
Regards,

| | | Re: unidentified Bird I see a faint red breast and markings on wings. And possibly blue head. Could mean Chaffinch or Brambling

I think it's female, but will await expert opinion.

| | | Re: unidentified Bird My first impression it is a Brambling though it could be a Chaffinch. I plump for the Brambling!

| | | Re: unidentified Bird The white belly, lack of pale wing bar, presence of dark line on back of head rules out chaffinch. Plus more orangy red breast compared to a brown/red of a chaffinch. |
