Had an unconfirmed report that an Osprey was seen in the South today- with the better weather this week may be well worth keeping an eye out for any arrivals near water- certainly looking forward to the northumbrian birds returning this year now one pair is public!
Spring is just around the corner (i hope!)  |

My frend lives in Cornwall and is a good birder, and he claimed to spot one over some reservoir down there this morning- no reason to doubt him from me |

Yeah- i thought this was still a bit early but suppose some birds rest up a while down south before making the last leg of their journey?
Perhaps this is the normal time for arrival, dont know- i usually see birds local and passing through from around the end of the month- but worth keeping an eye out! |

There was an osprey reported on RBA at coate water (wiltshire) on Monday.

One of the Breeding Ospreys back at rutland today- one sighted in Northumberland (not known if it was one of ours or passing through though)- Let the season begin! |

Osprey caught on web cam at Loch of the Lowes today- not a regular but an unringed bird possibly heading up North. |
