ts the female EJ back at Loch Garten- just waiting to see if Odin gets back- Kielder Osprey back too- sorting out the nest today!
another Northumbrian bird back but not at my site!
Next few days look promising! |

anyone seen the state of the osprey nest at Loch Garten! about a foot of snow on it- poor bird cant get anywhere near it!- hope this does not affect Highland breeding birds this year- hope for a quick thaw up there!
nothing much happening in Northumberland- no doubt birds being delayed due to weather |

It would appear Odin the male bird at Loch Garten has just arrived back!

I was fortunate to see one flying north this morning, over Stocks Reservoir, Lancs (a traditional spring passage site). I was thrilled to be watching my first swallows of the year and was totally gobsmacked when the osprey flew over, above them.

Odin (at least i think its him) back just after 8pm tonight at Loch Garten- allready rather tired attempt at mating and nest scraping- both birds comfortable with each other so hope it is him! |

I've just seen on the BBC Scotland news that the old female Osprey at the Loch of the Lowes has laid her first egg for the year - her 56th in total at that site.  | | | |
