| | | Goose ID please. I was in regents park this weekend and saw this Goose (i think) can someone help on the id please?
I've had a bit of a look on the RSPB site and i though it could be a barnacle Goose

| | | Re: Goose ID please. These are Bar headed Geese, a native of Central Asia. They are often part of a collection and some birds escape. They are none-native so wont be on the RSPB site. Plus a coot top right. |

| | | Re: Goose ID please. Yes Bar-headed Geese. There are some feral populations in some European countries such as Germany. They have also bred in the wild in the UK on numerous occasions. There's certainly some fully winged birds in London- especially some of those at Kew. |

The first time I saw one was on the Tackpiece, WWT Slimbridge, in amongst a flock of Canada and Greylag geese.
