| | Unidentified bird A few days ago I posted a photo of a bird in my garden which was identified by several members as a female sparrowhawk. Today a similar bird was in my garden which I am not sure whether it is another sparrowhawk (male?) or a kestrel. Please could someone identify it. I have posted a couple of photos of the same bird. Thanks |

Adult females have a thin white supercilium (which is a fancy way of saying 'they have a little white stripe above the eye'  ) which adult males don't have. |
