We males, on many occasions, have been accused of being sexist but surely this is a sexist comment against us! Maybe the Drake Mallard was being the perfect gentleman letting his female partner have the frog. After all it could have been a chocolate one as it is getting into the mating season and is doing his best to attract/keep the love of his life (which is saying rather a lot for a male mallard!).

Ours used to chase down mice, fight over them, then swallow them yuk!
