| | Crow in need of more flight feathers Hello everyone,
my name is tor. sorry if i am posting this in the wrong section i am new to it. i have joined here to ask you all about a crow i have had for a month now. me and my sister found him at are stables. he was with a group of crows but we noticed he didnt fly away with them. We caught him and checked him over. The only problem he seems to have is that it almost looks like someone has clipped the end of his flight feathers on both wings. we thought that if we feed him up for a few week in our avairy his feathers will sort them selves out.
Went out to feed him this morning but it seems there has been no improvment.
Does anyone have any ideas on what to do? do i need to just give his feathers more chance to grow? or is it more serious than that?
Any info greatly appricieted as my mum want her avairy back. ha.

| | | Re: Crow in need of more flight feathers The damaged feathers will not improve, you will have to wait until they moult out naturally & then new ones will grow. The crow would probably do better if it was taken to a wildlife centre where it can be with other crows in a large aviary until it has moulted. If you let me know where you are I can see if we have a centre listed near to you.

| | | Re: Crow in need of more flight feathers Thank you getting in touch. I live in cheshire. this crow has stayed very wary of humans and that is how i wanted it (better for him). I did think if it was going to be a long term thing i would take him to a wildlife rehabilitation centre. He would be better off with some friends.
It would be brilliant if you knew any around here!! Thanks again,
