| | | Ravens not behind decline in Waders There was some speculation that increasing number of ravens were behind the decline of moorland breeding waders but it appears this is not the case. BBC News - Ravens 'not behind' wader decline |

| | | re: Ravens not behind decline in Waders In Iceland there are plenty of ravens, plenty of breeding waders, quite a lot of sheep, and not so many humans. There to not have a raven guarding your farmstead is considered very unlucky. They want a raven to be watching over their farmhouses. I wish our land owners had a similar attitude ...
I thought the biggest problem for lapwings and waders here was the usual one ... loss of habitat. |

| | | re: Ravens not behind decline in Waders The ravens are nesting near me,seen them carrying and breaking large twigs from trees and nesting in a man made structure,i thought alot of there food was road kill as for buzzards, more cars more road kill, more buzzards and ravens i guess.
There does seem a few more ravens in my area,i never saw any years ago. |
