Is this a Great Tit?

I recorded the sound of a bird at the weekend and I'm not entirely sure of the species. I couldn't find a way to upload it here so I have uploaded it to my site where I get sounds for my video's.

Great tits calls are so varied so it may well be...but i think possibly Coal tit?...no doubt someone will be along soon with the right answer though?

I'm willing to bet the "chattering" in the background is a Blue Tit.

Can't really say on the 'Great Tit', though it sounds plausible enough to me.

As Dan says calls can be so varied I think Great Tit, but? anyhow check this site out may help.. The RSPB: Great tit

I say it is a Great Tit, they do have several different songs, the most typical is the 'teacher!.....teacher!' which I have been hearing of late. The chattering in the background is definitely the Blue Tits.

I've been trying () to learn my local bird calls/songs, and I've heard a very similar call from a Great Tit. So I think it's a strong possibility.

All the weirdest bird sounds I've ever heard have been great tits, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was.

david156 Yes I watched the program where Bill said that . I was 99% settled on Great Tit but I am always second-guessing myself. Next time I go on that walk I will try to actually get video of the little blighter .

Listening to your recording several times I am pretty certain it a Great Tit with a Blue Tit in the background as Mirandalyn suggests.
