Sick House Sparrow.

I noticed this Cock Sparrow on the feeder this afternoon with a very nasty "one eyed cold " - the other eye unaffected.From my experience of keeping Racing pigeons ( over 25 yrs)and seeing similar symptoms, it looks as if this Sparrow is suffering from Avian Ornithosis a very contagious disease. I have since removed the feeders and thoroughly disinfected them plus the Bath/ drinker.If it is Ornithosis, then it is a rather nasty disease and mortality is usually high.Has anyone else seen any instances of this recently.
