| | | high tide at parkgate we went along to parkgate yesterday to see what all the fuss is about when there's an exceptionally high tide. well, aren't we glad we did, what an amazing experience!
firsts for us were a merlin and a spoonbill, and spotting them made the wait in the freezing cold worthwhile  . there was a real camaraderie among the spotters too, everyone sharing information and pointing out things others may have missed.
