Un-intentionally had a great day of Bird Watching!

Sunday 31st Jan I went fishing with my Dad on the River Crouch in Essex. We didn’t catch much but fortunately we saw a full on show from good old mother nature.. We were moored on a fishing boat most of the day opposite the new wetlands project on Wallasea and we were both treated to huge displays of Birds. Huge flocks of Green Plover, Brent Geese, Lapwings plus many more hundreds of types of birds including a small flock of 7 Avocets!! Amazing! My Dad was considering giving up his marine engineering business and starting to do bird watching trips around the island. Would anybody be interested?

If you get the chance really do! I am planning to get out fishing again soon - even though we were unsuccesful... However, I'll report what we see next time!
