| | | Re: nest boxes You can put one up anytime, if you put it up to late then it might not be used. I would consider putting it up in the next month or so. I leave mine out all year around. |

| | | Re: nest boxes Thanks peeps. I put up a robin and a tit box in january but I have given my husband measurements to make me a sparrow terrace which may not be done for a few weeks. Wanted to check if this would still be in time for this year? |

| | | Re: nest boxes I was bought a next box with a camera in it for my birthday in July last year and we put it up in what we thought was a good place, we fitted a metal hole protector on it and waited for someone to move in, every night I put the camera on and all I have seen using it in all this time is an Earrwig, I think the birds in my garden must be camera shy. It's on one of the house walls in some Ivy, should we move it but we're restricted a bit by the cable.

| | | Re: nest boxes hello witham if your restricted by the cable, presume its the length, why not chop the ivy which is around it, make a clearance so the box is clearly visible, or if possible buy a longer cable and move the box elsewhere, one other thing when putting a box up the birds dont always take, that happend to mine, you sometimes just have to be patient, good luck rossy. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
