| | | Buzzard shot! A few days ago we took in a buzzard with a wing injury. When we examined it we could feel a fracture & so we x-rayed it to enable us to see the extent of the damage.
Lo & behold, embedded in the wing was a piece of lead - the buzzard had been shot!!
This makes my blood boil - all day long in our area we hear shooting from all directions, killing woodpigeons, pheasants, rabbits. You can't mistake a buzzard for any of these!!
Whoever did this has broken the law & deserves to be prosecuted. Trouble is, this sort of thing goes on all the time & how can anyone prove who did it?
Been shooting near Bishops Cleeve in Gloucestershire lately? I just hope that you get caught.

| | | Re: Buzzard shot! Unfortunately these idiots will only get prosecuted if somebody videos them doing this outrageous act. I really cant understand why anybody would want to shoot a buzzard. We have loads of buzzards up here but you only ever hear the farmers complaining about the hooded crows and the ravens.

However, we deal with many mammals & birds that have been shot & there is still illegal poisoning of birds of prey & other wildlife going on.
