| | | Cuckoo ? Someone i was talking to today said she was sure she heard a Cuckoo recently, and then added that one of her friends who lives reasonably close by also heard one. Both ladies live in the New Forest in Hampshire.
To me the end of January is a tad early for Cuckoo's unless someone can advise me otherwise.

| | | Re: Cuckoo ? Definitely not a Cuckoo at the moment! Collared Doves are occasionally mistaken for Cuckoos so possibly this, unless some prankster is playing a tape.
Cuckoos normally turn up mid- April or so. One at the moment would be unprecedented + nothing much for them to feed on. |

Earliest Cuckoo would be very late March/April |

| | | Re: Cuckoo ? I thought i heard a cuckoo this morning, just for a couple of seconds mind, but on the second call it was definitely a collared dove.
