I love watching the 7 goldfinches that continually return to my Evening primrose seed heads .I cant understand how they find any more to eat on them as they have been feeding on them for months ! I find they are even better than teasels for bringing a Smile on a cold frosty morning . |

Hi Thanks for your msg Yes I guess they must be finding seeds still ,though the pods look very tatty now after all that determined foraging . |

Never heard of them feeding on Evening Primrose but that's the great thing about this site you learn something all the time. I knew they love Teazel heads as they have cleaned mine out in the garden.
Looks like some Evening Primrose will be on the agenda for planting in the garden |

Great ! not only will you get Goldfinches in winter but aso Moths on the lovely scented flowers on balmy summer evenings now thats something to look forward to ! | | |
