Hi folks
I think that this little visitor to my garden is a male Firecrest and would like confirmation on it the pics are not very good they were taken in drizzle and very quickly taken too,

Definitely firecrest. Stripe through the eye is diagnostic. Not sure about sex - it looks more like a female to me but I'd have to ruffle its crown to be sure. |

Agree Firecrest also stripe above eye is yellowish whilst in the Goldcrest its dark ,nice visitoir to have at this time

Hi again,
Thank you to all for your help
Where I live in the south east is where a lot of migrants come through and its a possibility that this is what it was doing and is the first one since a goldcrest last year, I have had 3 redwings come in for 4 consecutive days while the cold snap was on a couple of weeks back and at my local patch around 100 redwings and a flock of feildfares so iv'e been having a great time down here, Oh yes!, and there is a Great White Egret in the Worth marshes near Sandwich bay
