Is there any chance that the Ashburnham eagle is still about? Only I was on the A2070 between Ashford and New Romney yesterday and a huge bird flew low (just above the cab of my truck) whilst being mobbed. I distinctly remember seeing the wingtips looking like fingers if you know what I mean. About half a mile further up was a buzzard and it was definitely a lot smaller.
