| | | Wagtails Hello people. I have wagtails...Yellow and Pied in my very urban Blackpool driveway! I was wondering what i could put out for them to eat? The only other birds we have are pidgeons and seagulls niether or which i want to really encourage to my doorstep. So any ideas to help the Wagtails in this harsh weather? |

| | | Re: Wagtails wormz! i'm pretty sure they're insect feeders, but in this weather they'll probably eat anything, but if you can get your hands on some mealworms, i hink they'd be pretty happy! |

Although they are primarily insect eaters, I've found with both species visiting my garden over the years, they will eat small crumbs of fat ball mix scattered on the ground - you can mix your fat ball recipe with dried insect mix from the pet shop. The 'seagulls' wont be able to pick up small crumbs but I'm afraid you'll take your chances with the pigeons!

It's lovely that you have Waggies in your driveway....but your Yellow one is more likely to be a Grey Wagtail.
Yellow ones migrate and don't return until around March.
Hope you don't mind me saying.
