I've been trying for years to get some pics of the fab looking Kingsisher and finally achieved my goal last week when I spotted this fine example (please excuse the lack of definition in the pics, the bird was quite elusive and I was very lucky to get anything at all) of a Kingfisher - was it just luck that I caught this one - I think so! 
and yes I know there's a branch in the way   |

Its a great feeling when you get your 1st shots. 
Now you know where to find them, study them and see if you can get closer to them and even get them fishing  |
