| | | Ospreys Me and a friend were talking last night about what we'd like to see this year and we got onto the subject of ospreys.
does anybody know any reliable places where you can observe ospreys, preferably in the midlands. we were thinking of rutland water, does anyone know the optimum time of year to see them there, or anywhere else for that matter?
cheers folks |

cheers folks | Osprey winter in Africa, so depending on your location, you may see them on passage from March-April and Sept-Oct at reservoirs/inland lakes. Or, if you're lucky enough to live near a breeding ground, most of the summer. We have only small numbers of breeders here, parts of Wales, eg Glaslyn and also Scotland. Rutland Water has breeding Ospreys with reliable observations but not sure how close that is to you. Canadian pharmacy cialis - Online Drug Store. |

| | | Re: Ospreys Keep an eye on the Rutland Water Website from March. They keep it very up to date about all the comings and goings of the Ospreys. It's a pretty good day out and the wardens there are very helpful. Rutland Water |

| | | Re: Ospreys I'm not in your neck of the woods but I'm lucky enough to have 3 breeding pairs within 20 miles of my house. They are great birds to watch so if you get the chance, take it. Nothing I like more than seeing an osprey hunting. The Loch close to my home is perfect for them(it also has a trout farm if there's no wild fish about). At the end of last summer we had 8 in total spending their last days fishing at the bottom of the loch before heading off for warmer winter quarters.
