| | | Thank you - and now my mystery bird! Thank you to those that helped with my problems uploading photos. Now all seems sorted, so thank you again!
Now, whilst enjoying a rather splendid snow day today, I was sitting looking in my snowy Norfolk garden very close to the coast when this impressive specimen landed in the garden. At first I thought it was a snipe, but now I'm thinking woodcock. Any suggestions? I know woodcocks are more nocturnal/crepuscular, but perhaps the snow has driven it to search for pastures new? Whatever, definitely best bird I've seen in my garden....and to think I should have been at school teaching the kids! |

| | | Re: Thank you - and now my mystery bird! Very good Rossy! Yes - a tennis racquet I'm afraid, not quite covered up by the snow. That's what's great about the snow though isn't it..... how it can turn even the most desolate, miserable place (not talking about my garden!) into a scene of beauty. |
