These were seen sunbathing in a tree on the edge of the river tamar .. I think they are linnets but not at all sure

They look like fieldfare to me also....They over winter in britain but given the current weather i bet they wish they had carried on south.

Well I have seen one, but it was on a busy main road in the car so didnt have the chance to take a photo
