I thought that there may be some members in the London/south Essex area who might be interested to know about these.
Bearded Tits are usually present at Rainham Marshes RSPB reserve but don't usually show as well as this pair, which have regularly been seen down to just a few feet from the boardwalk near the visitors centre during the last couple of weeks.
These shots were taken today (when they weren't too close to focus);

Worth a look if you are in the area (and the weather doesn't stop you getting out!). |

I did see a pair like this at the beginning of January last year while looking for the Penduline Tits in vain!
