| | | Confirmation of Diving Bird Species Dear All
Just taken a picture of a diving bird in winter plumage on Benbecula, Outer Hebrides not sure if its a red throated diver or a black throated diver, both winter plumages are similar. Sorry pictures a bit grainy, storm coming in and skys dark. Can any one help me.
Thanks Debs[IMG] [/IMG] |

| | | Re: Confirmation of Diving Bird Species I think it is a red-throated diver starting to turn into winter plumage. I ran it through Photoshop and that is what it seems to resemble most. Good shot, though.

| | | Re: Confirmation of Diving Bird Species Thanks everyone of you, thats what I was erring on, I had a better picture but I cropped it and never saved the original and it was too small to post. I just walk 3 minutes out of the door and I am at a bay so I only spent a few minutes taken the picture on the way to the shop and couldn't get any closer.
Thanks again
