| | | Unidentified Goose I took this photo in May 2008 at Victoria Park in Belfast, N.Ireland. At first I thought it was a Greylag goose but the markings on the head seem quite different. There were a pair of them on the lake when I took this shot. I'd appreciate any help with an ID.
Thanks, John. |

Adam | I would say Canada x Greylag; a few of these in the central London parks which have an abundance of both parent species! |

| | | Re: Unidentified Goose I watched three and a half small skeins of geese loudly making their way towards the Mersey this morning. Perhaps they'd decided it would be warmer back home than at Martin Mere. |

| | | Re: Unidentified Goose Hi Everyone
Many thanks for all your contributions. Normally there are only Greylag Geese in Victoria Park, Belfast and I was very pleased to spot these geese even if they are hybrids. I haven't spotted them since and so they must have just been passing through.
