Start To The New Year

Happy New Year To Every One

Been out of it for the last five months this is due to having to work on Saturdays hoping to get back into to it this year

Saturday 2nd Jan
had a look for the Brown Shrike on Staines Moor did see it after a while but the bird was being chased all over the place
then had a look at the pits at thorpe park where I found a Female Smew and a Lesser Spotted woodpecker and a selection of ducks

Sunday 3rd Jan
Had a look at beddington Sewage Works where I found the Tree Sparrows and a lot of Grey Herons Plus a selection of gull

Great start to the year.
Can't remember the last time I saw Lesser spotted woodpecker and tree sparrows seem to be few and far between here.

Nothing worse than work commitments getting in the way of your favourite pastime,glad you have managed to make a start and get out again maybe you will have better luck this year and not be to busy,Happy New Year and good hunting
