Hello Paul firstly welcome to the site enjoy as to your point about albino birds they are in fact leuchistic ,albino they are completely white and have pink eyes.
Leuchistic birds have parts of the body white this is due to a fault in the Genes of the bird or could be hereditary.
Hope this helps you may see this with Blackbirds as well

Thats ok Paul if you need anything answered just post your question in ther relevent section of the forum ,wether its birds in here or photographic in the photography forum someone will have an answer to your question or point you in the right direction
